Try it yourself: Use our free Electricity Bill Calculator tool — no signup, no watermark.
Electricity cost depends on your tariff category, usage, sanctioned load, demand and billing-period adjustments. Start with the category printed on your bill; the company name and this month’s units alone do not determine eligibility.
A named schedule, not an automatically updated bill
The GoZapTools calculator uses the base schedule in S.R.O. 279(I)/2026, dated 12 February 2026. It was checked against the official IESCO tariff guide on 8 October 2026. Check NEPRA’s later notifications for your billing period. Taxes, fuel/quarterly adjustments, credits, arrears and fees are not included unless you enter them.
Choose the category on your bill
The calculator provides eligible lifeline, protected and unprotected residential categories, residential time of use, and three commercial categories. It does not establish your eligibility or cover K-Electric, prepaid, industrial or agricultural tariffs. If the category is unclear, ask your DISCO before estimating.
Why a small usage increase can change the cost
Under this named schedule, protected residential customers receive one previous slab’s benefit. Lifeline and unprotected customers do not. For example, unprotected usage of 200 units gives an energy charge of 200 × Rs 28.91 = Rs 5,782. At 201 units it is 201 × Rs 33.10 = Rs 6,653.10. These are energy charges only; fixed charges and other bill amounts are additional.
Load and time-of-use readings matter
Enter the sanctioned load from your bill, not an appliance wattage estimate. The tool also asks for peak and off-peak units for time-of-use accounts and actual MDI where needed. Fixed-charge calculations follow the named schedule’s load/demand rules. If a required reading is unavailable, obtain it from your DISCO rather than guessing.
Add adjustments for the same billing period
Fuel and quarterly adjustments can be charges or credits. Enter their amounts in PKR, using a negative number for a credit. Enter GST and other tax amounts separately from other fees. Blank adjustment fields mean nothing has been included for that line; they do not mean you owe nothing. Add each amount once to avoid double counting.
How to check the estimate
Compare the displayed energy and fixed charges with those lines on your bill. Then account for taxes, monthly adjustments, fees and credits. The result is a calculation of the selected schedule plus the amounts you entered, not a bill-retrieval service or an official demand for payment.
Open the Electricity Cost Calculator to see the calculation breakdown. For your actual payable amount, use the current bill issued by your provider.
